…we/ve been hearing rumblings about Columbus quartet Ghost Shirt for quite a while now. Well, when we came across the band’s new ambitious project of 52 Singles in 52 Weeks, well, it seemed like prime time to talk about them here. On the track “Radio Fire” [installment #3], we find Ghost Shirt driving headlong into a melancholic lament with delicate interludes that stave of the tension momentarily, but ultimately reach a cathartic release in a raining cloud of ashes. We’d recommend you head over to Donewaiting and grab the first two installments of this series as well. The band are also currently slated to issue their debut album on the recently resurrected classic Columbus imprint, Anyway Records. Remember Gaunt, New Bomb Turks, The Whiles, Moviola? Nice. Hopefully we’ll see Ghost Shirt in Dayton soon….
